High-profile advert to cut number of motorcycle accidents A new advertising campaign aimed at reducing road traffic accidents involving motorcycles was launched yesterday.

Representatives from Devon and Cornwall Police, the city council's road safety team and the Institute of Advanced Motorists met in Plymouth for the regional launch of the Government's national initiative.

The television, radio and poster campaign encourages drivers to "Take Longer to Look For Bikes" in order to protect motorcyclists, who have the highest percentage of injuries among road users.
