Budapest, January 25 (MTI) - Hungary's economy has a pivotal need to adopt the euro as soon as possible, Central Bank President Zsigmond Jarai said at a conference organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in Budapest on Wednesday.

Jarai warned that the target of introducing the euro was drifting further and further away because of the country's high budget deficit, which if foreign investor sentiment changed, could easily mean trouble for Hungary with most of its current account …
