Sir, - It was interesting to read (the Press and Journal, January 16) that another dental practice has decided to stop treating NHS patients and that their patients had been informed by letter.

As one of the patients at the Holburn Dental Care practice, I have not been informed of any change, therefore I have not had any chance to re-register with its private scheme (with limited places).

This is despite receiving regular check-ups and treatments at the practice for at least 10 years and updating my contact details with the surgery in the last few months.

On asking two other patients if they had been informed, I found that not only had they not been contacted, but they have NHS appointments booked for after April 15.
