BRADENTON -- When the district decided to dissolve Wakeland Elementary's attendance boundaries and reassign its students to other schools, Principal Chuck Fradley vowed to give those children a chance to stay in his classrooms.
In the last two months he has conducted mass mailings and stuffed fliers in students' backpacks. He even sent them home with neon stickers on their chests, all in an effort to advertise informational meetings.
"We need to get the information to them somehow," he said.
