THE SKULL has been frightening people for years. Grinning, it sat in a drawer for a while and then was displayed in a glass cabinet for all to see. The office workers at the Mozarteum in Salzburg could hear music emanating from the skull, particularly at night when they had to work late. It frightened them to death. So the skull was returned to the drawer and there it stayed until October 2004, except for a short respite in order to be examined by a French scientific team. This skull has been in the possession of the Mozarteum in Salzburg since 1901 and is believed by some to be none other than that of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
