German gas company E.ON Ruhrgas, a subsidiary of German energies group E.ON, is standing firm in its battle with the German cartel office over long-term supply contracts. The gas supplier has rejected a warning sent by the antitrust authority, describing it as unfounded. The cartel office sent the warning to Ruhrgas in mid-December as a prelude to legal action and demanded that the company respond. The authority will now examine the response of Ruhrgas before deciding on further action.
