One of the Westcountry's leading economists has launched an attack on the aspirations of public sector bodies charged with regenerating the region, describing them as "occasionally naive" and "often over-ambitious".
The criticism has come from Professor Peter Gripaios, editor of the latest review by the South West Economy Centre, based at the University of Plymouth's Business School.
