WHO WILL HE WATCH WHEN I'M GONE? 
 
   When the surgeon's knife 
   cut out that one bung lung 
   he mounted a rear-view mirror 
   on the side of his armchair. 
 
   Made him feel like he was still out there, 
   driving trucks along the highway. 
   Cars and bikes and vans, and people too, 
   coming into and out of view. 
   Overtaking him, caught in the slow lane. 
 
   Once he boasted he knew if my car was in the drive 
   because the front window of the house across the street
