Though we have yet to crack the Top 10 (or top 10 percent for that matter) South Florida has again proved to be no slouch in the billionaire department--Forbes magazine's 2005 list of the "400 Richest Americans" contains a liberal smattering of local boldface names. Although Palm Beach Metromedia Co. king John Kluge (#27) is the area's biggest billionaire, with an estimated $9 billion, the real winner this year has to be first-timer Jorge Perez of The Related Group of Florida.
