(From Bristol Evening Post)
Andy Stockhausen ODD Down boss Chris Mountford believes his players must match arch-rivals Paulton Rovers or risk being regarded as a "flash in the pan."
The Premier Division protagonists clash at Combe Hay tomorrow and Paulton will be desperate to avenge a 1-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Mountford's men earlier this season.
That remains one of Odd Down's best performances in a season that has seen them establish themselves in the top half of the table.
But they are still prone to blow hot and cold and Mountford is concerned his team lacks the consistency to challenge at the top.
He explained: "On our day, we're capable of beating any team in this league. But those results tend to be one-offs and we don't beat the top sides often enough to be ranked alongside them.
"We've beaten Paulton at their place for the past two seasons, only to lose to them at home. This is an opportunity for us to prove we can match them on a more regular basis. If we don't, people will say that win earlier in the season was a flash in the pan."
