PRAGUE, Jan 1 (CTK) - The five parties in parliament are unlikely to sign an agreement on the fundamental parameters of the future pension system by the June general election, PM Jiri Paroubek (senior ruling Social Democrats, CSSD) and senior opposition Civic Democrats (ODS) head Mirek Topolanek said today.
Both Paroubek and Topolanek also said they have objections to the raising of the parental allowance from 3635 crowns at present to about twice as much as from 2007.
They took part in the Questions of Vaclav Moravec public Czech Television's (CT) discussion programme.
Party leaders have had several meetings on the pension reform, but they have not reached agreement.
The signature was first hindered by the Communists' (KSCM) disagreement with extending retirement age, and at last year's end the meeting did not take place because of the absence of the ODS representative.
Topolanek said today that the ODS as well as the junior ruling Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) were ready to sign the agreement in the autumn even without the KSCM, but the CSSD insisted on all signatures.
