SHANGHAI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - China's two bourses in Shanghai and Shenzhen saw double-digit decreases in total trading volume in 2005.
The volume of trading at the Shanghai Stock Exchange came to 5 trillion yuan (US$619.56 billion) in 2005, a year-on-year drop of 35 per cent.
By the end of 2005, the Shanghai bourse had 834 listed companies, which issued 502.31 billion shares in 878 kinds. The capital stock in circulation totalled 156.12 billion shares, up 14.24 per cent over 2004's figure.
