MUMBAI, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - Realising the need for a "re-engineering" given the challenges of the Indian capital market, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on Friday said it would bring in external consultants to look into evolving its base structure.
"The SEBI board on Friday endorsed a roadmap which involves bringing in external consultants to look at quantitative and non-quantitative requirements," SEBI Chairman M Damodaran told reporters here after the 101st board meeting.
The effort would make SEBI the strong organisation that it needs to be, he said.
He added that it intends to make significant progress in the next year.
