COPPER FOIL PROJECT GOES INTO PRODUCTION IN EAST CHINA.
NANCHANG, Jan 2 Asia Pulse - A 6,000-ton high-grade copper foil project, jointly funded by Jiangxi Copper Group and Yates Foil USA Inc, went into production recently in Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province.
The official production of the project will fill the gap in batch production of super-thin copper foils in China, sources with Jiangxi Copper said.
He Changming, general manager of Jiangxi Copper, said that construction work on the project involving an investment of 570 million yuan started in September 2003.
The project has introduced latest electrolytic copper foil production technology from Yates as well as key equipment up to the international advanced level.
