In January, a Saline Township, Michigan, woman had a run-in with criminals, and she made sure that they were apprehended by the police. Now, the criminals have been sentenced, and she is already dreading the day when they'll be released.
The saga began when Amilee Sharp ignored the ringing of her doorbell because her husband wasn't home. Because their home had been robbed before, she was afraid that the person at the door might be a criminal, and she was correct. However, ignoring the ringing didn't afford her safety. After a few moments, she heard someone kick in the front door.
She grabbed a pistol and dialed 911, but the altercation was over in a flash. The intruder saw her in the kitchen holding her pistol, and he immediately retreated back out the door, pleading with her not to shoot him. Sharp followed him outside and fired nine shots at his getaway vehicle in order to disable it.
The intruder, Randy Fraley, and his girlfriend/accomplice, Amber Jennings, managed to drive the shot-up vehicle a few blocks before they were forced to abandon it.
