Although "Commander in Chief," the new ABC series starring Geena Davis as the first woman President, is a hit on its own merits (merits that include a satisfying element of soap opera), it may get an extra shot of ratings oxygen from the country's growing curiosity about a certain woman senator--curiosity about whether she will run for President and whether there's a chance that she could win. No one seems to be able to talk about "Commander in Chief" without also talking about Hillary Clinton, whose name is invariably followed these days by the phrase "who may or may not run for President in 2008."
