It's an old story that neither lawyers nor journalists rank that high in the annual Gallup Poll on the honesty and ethics of people in different professions.
What's more interesting is the trend showing that the populace is getting more and more cynical about these professions.
The Gallup organization has included both professions since beginning this poll in 1976.
Back then, lawyers came in with 25 percent of people surveyed rating their honesty and ethical standards as very high or high.
By the same measure, journalists came in with a 33 percent positive rating.
