Stabbing victim in hospital.

A 19-YEAR-old man will be spending Christmas Eve in hospital after he was chased through the centre of Newtownards and stabbed by a gang of youths following a night out with friends.
The victim was said to be in a "serious but stable" condition today following the knife attack which was carried out in the Meetinghouse Lane area of the town at about 2am.
The 19-year-old and a friend had enjoyed a evening out and were finishing the night off by eating a takeaway in the Regent Street area when they were confronted by what police have called "a number of youths".
The pair fled from the gang across Conway Square and into Meetinghouse Lane where they were again confronted by the gang.
