A NORTHERN Ireland health trust today admitted it kept cash donated towards a Christmas staff party.

Care workers at Northfield House, Donaghadee, Co Down, say around [pounds sterling]1,000 was given by relatives of residents for their annual bash.

According to staff, management told them just before their big night out last week that the money was this year being "redirected" towards training programmes.
