The quarterly French music theory journal Analyse Musicale (ISSN 0295-3722), published under the auspices of the Societe francaise d'analyse musicale, started with number 1 (November 1985) and suspended publication after number 32 (July 1993), then produced about twenty more issues from numbers 33 (November 1998) through 51 (September 2004). The publication has suspended operations again, but may re-emerge at a later date.
