Andy Fitts of Bryan, Texas, shot and killed Amos Ybarra after Ybarra stabbed a female friend, reported theeagle.com.
Around 6 p.m. on August 25, Phyllis Scott was at Fitts' condo to have dinner with Fitts and his mother when Ybarra, a man with whom Scott had had a tumultuous six-month relationship, rang the bell. At Ybarra's request, Scott assented to speak to him outside.
Apparently disgruntled about Scott's recent break-up with him, Ybarra became loud enough that Fitts motioned to him to quiet down so that his neighbors would not hear the yelling. Shortly thereafter, Scott began screaming, "He's killing me, he's killing me." Fitts ran outside and saw Ybarra ...
