Brooklyn Heights, OH -- Safeguard Properties Inc. here has initiated several communications strategies, including a series of "industry awareness" conference calls to address issues facing servicers, mortgage companies, governmental agencies and the entire real estate industry in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Initiated to identify and help resolve servicing issues due to damages caused by the hurricanes, the first of six Safeguard conference calls occurred just days after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast.
These calls each lasted approximately two hours and were attended by more than 200 participants from all sectors of the industry.
"These calls aligned everyone in the industry to formulate a consensus on how to handle a crisis of this magnitude and develop an effective recovery plan," said Robert Klein, founder and chief executive officer of Safeguard Properties.
