In 2004, investment in technology soared after a few years of low growth. According to Prince and Cooke, the adoption of IP telephony in the corporate sector grew 150 percent from 2004 to 2005. At the same time, the equipment providers are developing new industry-driven solutions to better serve the SME market in Argentina, which accounts for 50 percent of the broadband access accounts. In addition to mobile and wireless, IP solutions is one of the few sub-segments of the telecom equipment market that is growing.
