Several major brands could be set to follow the AA's lead by launching fully-fledged legal arms, once new laws are in place.

Post Magazine has learnt that a number of consultancy firms are scouring the market on behalf of a number of well-known firms, researching how best to ease their entry into the legal market.

The Claims Standards Council is understood to have also been approached to give best-practice advice on the establishment of claims management arms.
