Gibraltar-based Litcomp will start writing after-the-event insurance this month, following the completion of funding and its application for a licence.
The group is utilising the vehicle Elite Insurance, which it acquired in October, and will initially specialise in ATE, but intends to add before-the-event legal expenses to its portfolio in the first quarter of 2006 (PM, 13 October, p2).
