SYDNEY, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - A long-awaited compensation deal for asbestos disease victims is expected to be signed by the board of James Hardie Industries today.
But a stand-off is looming between the building products company and the federal government over tax concessions on compensation payments.
Treasurer Peter Costello has ruled out giving the company any tax breaks, while the NSW government and ACTU believe they should be granted.
