WASHINGTON, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Market analysts said Wednesday they expect Johnson and Johnson's schizophrenic drug paliperidone to do well, but the big shake-up will be when the company's other anti-psychotic, Risperdal, goes generic in a couple of years.
J&J filed a new drug application with the Food and Drug Administration for paliperidone extended-release tablets Wednesday.
However, Oppenheimer and Co. analyst Scott Henry told United Press International that the big event in the anti-psychotic field will be when Risperdal goes off-patent in 2007 or 2008.
