Broadband gains satellite operators' attention.(Seamobile Inc)(Brief Article)
Satellite service providers are increasingly moving towards the supply of broadband services to enterprises as well as entertainment to residences. Caprock Communications, a U.S.-based provider of mission-critical satellite communications, has entered into an agreement with Seamobile Inc., leading supplier of marine wireless communications. As per the deal, Caprock will supply broadband communication and wireless services, based on satellite technology, to cruise ships and the commercial maritime sector. The satellite service will enable people on board to take advantage of mobile phone facilities and Internet access while at sea.
