The concept of formally and informally was a hot, hot topic in our survey. What's clear is that the casual-Friday concept is waning across much of the country-for a variety of reasons.
Many women prefer to dress to a high standard whatever the day. "I never want to feel that I've paid attention for the first four days of the week, only to careen toward a casual-Friday disaster," says Rhiannon Kubicka (32, gallery owner/financier, New York). "Dressing the part of success can really help one bring success into our lives," says Alli Beckett (31, party planner, Boston).
