Reports of the death of the pantsuit have been greatly exaggerated. Women in every part of the country still get huge mileage out of the jacket/pants combination. "I love this look," says Holly Moore (right), of this Ralph Lauren. "A strong suit with directional accessories always works really well." She cites Lauren, Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, and Michael Kors as her go-to designers. Sophia Marinakis (28, shipping executive, New York) has Prada and Gucci on her list: "They've brought the pantsuit to a whole other level in the last five years." Marinakis is also one of the many women who like to break a suit up: On those days, an Emporio Armani blazer tops a pair of Chloe pants.
