A former professor from the Middle Eastern Studies program at the University of Arkansas has settled her lawsuit for bias and termination for $215,000, with both sides agreeing not to say bad things about each other.

Linda Schilcher worked in the Middle Eastern Studies program from August 1995 until she was fired in May 1999. Her suit claimed she was discriminated against because she is female, Caucasian, white-skinned and American, and she spoke out about problems in the program. She also faced retaliation.
