Nov. 27--Coral Gables leaders want to set up a task force of qualified professionals to review the service the city gets from utilities -- mostly from Florida Power & Light -- and make recommendations for improvement.
The "utilities reliability task force" would only be formed for 120 days and would consist of seven members, all Gables residents, with expertise in electrical distribution systems, regulated industries, government consumer advocacy, electrical construction, technology systems or other fields that can help dissect complicated issues.
