Nov. 29--TALLAHASSEE -- Florida lawmakers may use the special legislative session that begins next week to more tightly regulate the relationship between lawmakers and lobbyists.
Gov. Jeb Bush has called lawmakers to the Capitol on Dec. 5 for a five-day special session to deal with Medicaid and slot machines in Broward County parimutuels. But legislative leaders say they also will try to pass a measure that will require lobbyists to disclose additional information about how much they get paid and to disclose what they spend to get legislation passed.
