TACOMA, Wash., Nov. 25 (AScribe Newswire) -- This year marks the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's "miraculous year" in which he published three important papers describing ideas that have since influenced all of modern physics. A series of year-long events, designed to celebrate Einstein, his great ideas, and his influence on life in the 21st century, have been planned around the world. Called World Year Physics 2005 (WYP), the theme for the celebration in the U.S. is "Einstein in the 21st Century."
University of Puget Sound is paying tribute to Einstein and WYP by hosting a reception and public lecture on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 4-5 p.m. in Thompson Hall 124.
