The editors present more than seven hundred pages of carefully collected information and illustrations relating to more than 250 heroes of the imagination from the mid-1900s through the present day. The focus of the book is on American heroes, although some attention is given to those from other countries (see articles on anime and manga, Captain Britain, Captain Canuck, and Dragon Ball, for example).
