I feel sorry for the Seahawks because they're going to have to make the big decision on whether to give Shaun Alexander the franchise tag or the big contract. And he's earning every penny right now. He's the main reason they're 5-2.... Troy Vincent is doing as good a job as any safety in the business right now. I think teams are finding they can't run those deep corner or go routes against him. And he gets everybody else on the Bills' defense in the right place and the best position to do their jobs.... No question Mike Tice is on the hot seat. I hate to blame the off-field stuff on him; it's more performance-based. It's all about being the leader of the team, even though you're not physically on the field. That's where they're coming up a little short.... Tim Rattay will help Tampa Bay. He's a smart kid, he has enough mobility, and he understands the offense, having played in the 49ers' system. I don't think Jen Gruden ever trusted Brian Griese, anyway....
