The Angels boast one of the deepest farm systems in baseball. Yet the team's offense was in need of repair all season, and the only trade general manager Bill Stoneman made was for Jason Christiansen, a lefthanded reliever.
Stoneman isn't to blame for the Angels' disappointing performance in the American League Championship Series; the rotation wasn't at full strength, and the White Sox's starting pitchers dominated Angels hitters.
But this offseason, Stoneman will need to break from his typically conservative approach and retool the Angels' offense.
