(From Irish Independent)
PARENTS of 18 tear-away teenagers are being threatened with eviction from their homes if they don't rein in their youngsters.
In a new get-tough approach aimed at stamping out the growing problem of anti-social behaviour, a city council has confirmed it is planning to evict the families unless the teens' behaviour changes.
Limerick City Council is currently focussing on the north-side estates of Moyross, Thomondgate and Ballynanty, where the 18 teenagers live and which have seen a growing incidence of vandalism, intimidation of the elderly and drug dealing in recent years.

It has also teamed up with both the Garda and the Health Services Executive to tackle the growing public disorder issue. In the last six weeks alone, 14 of the 18 teenagers have been brought before the courts for breaches of the public order act.
An enforcement officer for the council is in the process of notifying the teenagers' parents that they will face eviction unless matters improve. Their names were passed on by the gardai to the local authority.
