WE'VE never earned as much, new figures show.Incomes are powering ahead as the boom puts more money in pockets.
Extraordinary new figures show 300 PAYE workers will earn more than 1m this year. That's three times the number for 2001.
And the number earning 50,000 has trebled to 322,300 in four years.
Workers on more than 100,000 have also multiplied dramatically. There were 13,200 in 2001. Now more than 50,000 rack up that income in a year.
The Department of Finance figures have been exclusively obtained by the Irish Independent.
They are bound to colour policy thinking as the Government and Finance Minister Brian Cowen ponder the December Budget.
