Q I am 17 and am having terrible trouble with my parents over what I want to do when I leave school next year. My older brother and sister both did really well in their Leaving Cert and are now in college doing business and engineering. My dad is an engineer and my mother is a teacher. Basically everyone is academic except me and I am finding the work in school really hard. I can't wait to be finished.
There is a make-up course that I would like to do in London but my parents have said no way to this. They keep putting pressure on me to do more and more grinds so I can get into college here and do something really boring.
