ONE of Dublin's best-known restaurant's, Ernie's, has been taken over by a husband and wife team.
French Chef Jean-Michel Poulot and his Irish wife wine consultant Lorna-Jean will rename the Donnybrook, Dublin 4 restaurant Poulots when it reopens next Friday after a major refurbishment.
Mr Poulot previously worked as executive chef with The Thomas Read Group for six years, with responsibility for 17 venues.
These included the Morrisson Hotel on Dublin's North Quays and the Forty Foot bar in Dun Laoghaire.
Ernie's traces its origins back to the late Kerry chef Ernie Evans who set up the restaurant and whose family continues to own the building now occupied by Poulots.
