Women and minorities continue to be shut out of administrative jobs in athletics on campuses, in conferences and at the NCAA, according to a recent report.
The National Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport at the University of Florida recently released a report documenting a decline from 2004, not exactly a banner year itself.
* Minorities are only 6% of ADs and 10% of coaches.
* College conferences have no female or minority commissioners, ranking far below major professional sports leagues. The NBA ranked highest in employing women and minority staff, while the NFL ranked lowest. All 11 commissioners of Division I conferences are white men, who are the most powerful people in college sports.
* The NCAA's main office in Indianapolis employed 6% fewer female or minority staff members.
