Fresno State's former women's basketball coach filed suit against the school recently, alleging that the college retaliated against her for complaining about sexual harassment and lack of support for women's athletic teams.
Stacy Johnson-Klein, who was fired March 2, also named former AD Scott Johnson, former associate AD Randy Welniak, and President John Welty as defendants. She claimed that Johnson inappropriately touched her and made comments about her body and physical appearance. She also accused Welty and Welniak of making inappropriate comments about her breasts, cleavage and clothes.
The suit also states that Johnson-Klein heard many derogatory remarks about lesbians, including a statement that "lesbian coaches were not hired at California State University-Fresno" and references to lesbians as "the other team."
