tis easy to get overwhelmed with all the blushes, lipsticks, eye shadows, mascaras, and tools out there. But after countless seasons doing runway shows and magazine shoots, Iive realized there are only a handful of products that I really canit live without..
Concealer Lighten up already! Not the color, the textureoconcealer looks awful when itis thick and cakey. The most effective concealers are ?a touch lighter than your skin tone to balance out darkness, and theyire ?not too heavy. Go to a makeup counter, and try a few different concealers under the eyes or around the nose to see which ones cover darkness and red spots the best. Also, know the difference between dark circles and bags: Concealer will cover dark circles (thatis what itis for), but it will make bags more obvious. For the latter, rub a drop of foundation (your concealer ?is too pale) on the bags, and add a spot of highlighter at the inner corners of the eyes to distract attention. Itis like saying, Hey! Look over here!I
Two eye-shadow brushes I canit live without my dome-tipped eye-shadow brushes. One is a quarter-inch wide (for lining the lids and creases); the other ?is a half-inch wide (for filling in eyelids or highlighting under the brows). Both are really soft. Art-supply stores have a big selection, and theyire often less expensive than makeup brushes. They also have options for women who donit want to use animal products.
