My 3 1/2-year-old son, Mason, spied the Messy Party article and we had one of our own. What a blast! I've never seen the kids have such a great time, and the bubble recipe was the best I've used. Sifting flour was also a hit, and the cookie decorating appealed to everyone, even my 14-month-old daughter, Makena. She kept telling us "Mmmm ..." as she shoved more sprinkles in her mouth.

Thank you so much for your truly inspirational article, "Sam's Messy Afternoon" (July-August 2005). I am always looking for fun things to do with my 2 1/2 year old as well as his 11-month-old sister. Sometimes it feels like I am constantly saying No! We had a mini Messy Party the day...
