Who? Scarlett Johansson. What? The August cover of Allure, shot by Michael Thompson. Where? At Drive In Studios in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. When? May 23-just hours after flying in from Bulgaria, where she was shooting a film adaptation of James Ellroy's The Black Dahlia. Why? This month, the 20-year-old actress stars in The Island opposite Ewan McGregor. The Breakfast Club: The studio doors were locked when Johansson and a few crew members arrived at 7 a.m., so the actress suggested they all get breakfast at a Greek diner across the street. Dressed in ripped jeans and a pale pink T-shirt, she ordered coffee, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes, and a bagel with cream cheese. In Good Company: Once ?the entire crew had assembled at the studio, everyone was full of energy despite the early hour. Makeup artist Dick Page chased manicurist Sheril Bailey around the set, squirting her with a water bottle. "You kids settle down!" Johansson joked. Pop Life: While Serge Normant styled her hair, Johansson read a Variety review of Britney Spears's Chaotic. ?"It's kind of frightening," she said of the reality series.
