HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE

Your mother nagged you about sitting up straight for a reason: Good posture helps you to look thinner, be more alert, and sleep better at night.
* Measure up. To perfect your posture, stand evenly with your knees unlocked and back against a wall. Tuck in your pelvis by tightening your buttock and abdominal muscles. Keep your shoulders level and your chin parallel to the floor. Look in a mirror (or ask a friend to take a Polaroid) -- whenever you catch a glimpse of yourself, correct your posture with this image in mind.
* Stay straight. It's easy to slump when you stand or sit for long periods. But you can prevent your shoulders from rolling forward automatically by keeping one knee bent or elevating your foot six inches (rest it on any slight edge). When sitting, do the opposite: Put your feet on the floor, and stick
