Bases Are Loaded
ny Cosabella-wearing woman knows that underpinnings, however functional, should also be beautiful in their own right. The same can be said of the new eye-shadow bases from Chanel, L'Oreal, Trish McEvoy, and Girlactik. In shades of gold, beige, pearl, and pink, these creams prevent creases from forming and make powdered shadow last longer. "Putting a cream under a powder really sets it," says makeup artist Chrisanne Davis, adding, "the Chanel one especially is so pretty, it could be used on its
own for a natural golden shimmer." A testament that both form and function can have eye-opening results.
