The Nairobi Stock Exchange has over the past three years posted its best performance since its foundation 51 years ago, chief executive Chris Mwebesa said yesterday.
Between September 2002 and September 2005, the NSE 20 Share Index grew by 267 per cent, while market capitalisation rose by a massive 424.29 per cent. Mr Mwebesa said that the bourse moved from 1,043.73 points in 2002, to 3,832.69 points in 2005, which reflected a rise of 2,788.96 points.
