HANOI, Nov 9 Asia Pulse - Following are highlights of Vietnam's major newspapers today:

- Prime Minister Phan Van Khai stressed that further efforts should be made to improve the capability in storm and flood prevention and control, thus limiting losses for people. Speaking at a meeting held in Thua Thien-Hue to review measures taken to control and overcome aftermath of the recent Typhoon Kai-tak in central provinces, PM Khai praised the effective co-ordination between local administration, sectors and armed forces in evacuating people from high-risk areas.
